My grandfather, Hans N. Kleiber, became a world-renowned artist-naturalist after taking up residence in Dayton, Wyoming, in the shadow of the Bighorn Mountains. I wish there had been a videographer during his years. That thought sparked the idea to create candid, heartfelt interviews of artists of the region for posterity.

Many of the world's best-known landscape and animal artists have loved this region: Gollings, Remington, Russel, Rungius, Moran, Bierstadt, Fuller, are just a few of the names who were forever indelibly influenced by the land, the flora, and the fauna.

Working with Kenneth L. Schuster, Director and Chief Curator of the Brinton Museum in Big Horn, Wyoming, the list of 22 artists was created. I interviewed each over the course of 2 months. I then engaged the talents of director/composer Edmond Allmond to direct post-production and edit these engaging and poignant stories.
